The vitality of balance is exhibited in every stage of life. Even our day-to-day life has to be well balanced with work and recreation. The term balance sounds so simple, but its complexity is unfathomable.

Maintaining balance is a complex act of processing sensory information and co-ordinating the movement without any lag. Ongoing brain research is continuing to evolve and is giving us a better understanding of our systems.

In this webinar, we will be reviewing the critical elements of balance involving central and peripheral mechanisms and their interplay.
Participants will be able to assist clients to age well with confidence by applying these concepts in practice.

Speaker bio:

Deepha graduated in 1999 and started her career in the Department of Neurosurgery in Trauma care. She is a certified member of the Neuro-Developmental Treatment Association and has advanced level training in NDT*/Bobath treatment techniques. She has also completed the specialized training necessary for pelvic health rehabilitation.

After working in long-term, retirement, hospital and community settings, she is now practicing clinically full time.

Deepha strongly believes in a holistic approach. Clinically, her practice revolves on the platform of the science of neuroplasticity. She works to restore functional movement with postural and motor control, and to assist clients in attaining their goals.
