Start your engines for Teen Driver Safety Week
Parachute’s National Teen Driver Safety Week (NTDSW) is an annual campaign, designed to drive public awareness of teen driver safety issues and encourage community and youth involvement as part of the solution.
For 2018, our campaign will run from October 22 – 28. This year our messaging will once again focus on the key issues of drugged, distracted, alcohol-impaired and aggressive driving (including speeding).
We look forward to working with local schools, police and partners to implement activities in communities across the country, including Positive Ticketing Blitzes. Heads-up that we are aiming to have materials for our partners, including the “Blitz Kits”, a social media guide, news release guide, and infographic to share, by Friday, Sept. 21 through our NTDSW website.
We will also encourage teens, parents and community partners to join the discussion on social media with us @ParachuteCanada, using the dedicated hashtags #NTDSW2018 and #KnowWhatImpairedMeans. Thanks to our NTDSW sponsors, Desjardins Insurance and Saskatchewan Government Insurance.
We also want to thank the Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD) for choosing Parachute for its first-ever Designathon, a 12-hour event where design students and recent grads work pro-bono on real-life design projects for non-profit organizations. Four graphic design students, working with a senior RGD and Parachute’s Director of Communications, came up with a suite of visuals for this year’s #NTDSW campaign. You’ll see their handiwork in the social media posts we’ll be sharing throughout October. Their work also inspired our theme banner for NTDSW 2018.
